Chelsea Heaney was employed on a casual basis at Flight Centre Limited (FCL) for a period of 13 months (May 2011 – June 2012). During this time Chelsea worked within FCL’s marketing department in a communications support role for FCL’s corporate travel brands. These brands include FCm Travel Solutions, Corporate Traveller, Stage and Screen and Campus Travel.

As part of her role Chelsea gained a solid understanding of the business travel industry and performed a broad variety of tasks including writing for business travel magazines produced by FCL such as Perspectives and Intouch, blogs for social media, marketing material for electronic direct emails, staff profiles and hotel and airline product reviews. Writing styles included features, short stories, profiles, general marketing material, blogs, news updates, press releases and website writing. Chelsea also was required to conduct her own research for many stories and generate ideas for social media content, press releases and industry news for our client publications.

Chelsea is a hard worker, diligent and able to work autonomously. During her time at FCL Chelsea provided valuable support to the marketing team and could be relied on for well written, grammatically correct and thoroughly researched material. Chelsea was able to write quickly and creatively, and always met the brief.

Friendly, well presented and polite, Chelsea was a pleasure to have as part of our team and I would recommend her for future roles involving writing and research.
